Letter from the Principal

AISB has developed an Intensive English as a Second Language program specifically to provide those students with developing proficiency in the English language through intensive, one-to-one pupil/teacher focus. We guarantee that within a very short period of time students will boost their English levels to a level of proficiency to become integrated into their own classrooms. This is an especially preferred method to immersing students with little or no ability in the English language into a class without the skills that they need to succeed.

AISB is a school that has so much more to offer. Our very small class sizes mean that students get quality attention from their teacher; our small school size promotes a strong

sense of community, where every student and every teacher knows each other¡¯s names;not to mention our beautiful campus and superior facilities!

The educational philosophy embedded into the Australian curriculum is one of educating the whole child beginning at their appropriate developmental level. Social, physical and academic growths are all equally important. Each student is a unique individual. Therefore teachers at AISB assess student progress and deliver programs that are appropriate for each student according to their ability and skill levels. Australian curriculum focuses on student outcomes. Australian curricula are recognized worldwide for their emphasis on developing skills that are transferable across contexts. At AISB our program aims to prepare our students to meet the challenges of living in the 21 century.

Strategically developing and enhancing student core values is an integral part of our program. Cooperative learning, and diligence and caring are promoted as the foundation of responsible citizenship.

I enthusiastically lead AISB during a time of great activity in China. Education is the key that opens many doors and student attitudes towards studying have a significant impact on later lives. At AISB teachers and students work together to build character and positive attitudes about school and learning.

We continuously pursue our motto 'Excellence in Education', In addition, at the Australian Education Development Group your child will able to complete K to University level on the same campus.

As the school leader, I have a practice of making myself readily accessible to parents and all staff ¨C in other words 'An Open Door Policy'. Please do not hesitate to contact me. I believe communication leads to success.

Best Regards,
